Art Museum of South Texas
The Mission of the South Texas Institute for the Arts (the Institute), doing business as the Art Museum of South Texas, is to operate educational facilities and an art museum which advance the awareness, knowledge, appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts for residents and visitors of South Texas.

Texas Maritime Museum
Discover Texas state’s rich maritime history, from the early days of exploration and settlement by the Spanish and French to the modern search for oil.
At the state’s official maritime museum, explore the long and varied story along the more than 300 miles of Texas coast. See a large collection of antique outboard motors, a fishing exhibit, and original watercolors of Texas lighthouses by artist Harold Phenix.
Texas State Aquarium
One of the top 10 aquariums in the United States, the Texas State Aquarium is a big tourist attraction in Corpus Christi. With the new Caribbean Journey expansion, which doubled the size of the original facility, the aquarium offers a full-immersion experience into Mexico’s Yucatan peninsula and the Western Caribbean Sea.

USS Lexington Museum
The USS LEXINGTON, CV-16, is a World War II-vintage Essex Class aircraft carrier that’s been turned into a museum, delighting visitors of all ages. A MEGAtheater (similar to IMAX) was added in the forward aircraft elevator space. Lexington was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2003. The ship is carefully maintained, and areas of the ship previously off-limits are becoming open to the public every few years. One of the most recent examples of this is the catapult room.

Experience the beer festival Surftoberfest happening on October 22, 2022, in downtown Corpus Christi outside of the Executive Surf Club. Surtoberfest is more than just a celebration of German heritage, it’s also the most magical annual beer festival in Corpus Christi! Sample draught brews from all of Corpus Christi’s local breweries or raise your stein in the pop-up tasting room in the new Waterstreet Garden.
