On day four, storms rolled in. The wind rattled the rig and rain pelted the roof. But instead of being disappointed, we discovered the charm of indoor resort life. The 10,000 sq ft clubhouse became our hub.

We joined a midday Bingo game (I squealed when I won), then watched a movie in the lounge while sharing popcorn with neighbors. Kids gathered in corners, coloring and playing board games; seniors exchanged stories and laughter over coffee. The kitchen was open, and some campers spontaneously organized a pancake brunch.

Later, we tried indoor walking aerobics (a friend hand-held my mother as she moved at her own pace). The kids challenged others to pool and billiards, while Luna snoozed at my feet.

By evening, the rain had slowed. We ventured outside to the covered patio, swapped campfire stories, and enjoyed grilled sausages cooked under the canopy. Even in weather, the resort’s amenities and community spirit saved the day.
