On this trip, we had a 4-year-old nephew, my parents (late 60s), our teenage daughter, and dog Max. Planning seemed tricky — but Southern Oaks delivered balance.
We scheduled mornings with group events: kids’ crafts, seniors’ walking, group aerobics. Then a family beach or museum trip. Afternoon, quiet time back at the rig for naps or journaling. Evenings: community dinners or talent nights.
I’d rotate: walking slower with my dad, playing frisbee with the kids, walking Max together, then gathering all together for dessert and stories. In the end, everyone felt included.
