One of the best evenings we had was when the sun began to dip low. We signed up for a pickleball game with other campers. The courts are well maintained, and neighbors were happy to teach beginners. My daughter and I took turns rotating in, and soon laughter echoed as mismatched teams played.
Afterward, we plopped on front porch chairs near our rig and watched the sky blaze orange and pink. The resort has soft walking lights, so strolling is easy even after dark. We shared grilled veggies, sang along to someone’s guitar, and felt completely relaxed.
Tip: Bring portable string lights or lanterns for your campsite. Don’t forget paddles and extra balls — you’ll want to play again tomorrow!
