My twins, age 8, begged me every morning to visit the resort’s “kids’ corner.” Some days, the staff organized scavenger hunts: “Find five types of shells, a bird species, and a leaf.” Other times, kids gathered for arts & crafts in the clubhouse (shell necklaces, painting).
Afternoons, the kids splashed in the pool, played hide-and-seek among the site hedges, or biked nearby. Evenings, they performed short skits at the talent night while parents cheered. Luna, our dog, sat backstage and barked applause.
As a parent, I loved peekabooing at them enjoying independent adventure, knowing they were safe and included.
